Feeding Recommendations: 


•Horses should be on a balanced diet meeting all fat, carbohydrate and protein requirements while using the EPM SD. 


•Horses should be fed the appropriate mineral balancer for the type of forage diet they are eating. 


•Horses eating exclusively alfalfa will have different  mineral requirements than horses eating grass hay only, and different than horses eating mixed forage diets. 


•Avoid mixing with EPM medications, blood thinning agents, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatories. 


•Use caution when supplementing with other herbal products or products containing high levels of MSM.


•B vitamin supplementation is recommended to assist in the detox process. 


•Use of pre/probiotics, digestive enzymes and daily vitamins are permitted.


•Vitamin E supplementation is only permitted in confirmed EPM horses.


•Not recommended for pregnant horses, horses with weakened liver or kidney function. 


•Avoid known sources of digestive upset if using for recurring digestive issues. Examples are wheat, soy and grain by products.
